Silent Night
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy Infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night,
Shepherds quake at the sight;
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night, holy night,
Son of God, love’s pure light;
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth,
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

STORY BEHIND THIS SON...
This has always been my favorite Christmas
carol. I can seldom get through it on Christmas Eve without
getting this huge lump in my throat that prevents me from
finishing the song.
It was a joy to set it to my own arrangement,
which revolves around the acoustic guitar, as did the original
version of the song when it was first presented by Franz
Gruber.
